A Hands-on Learning & Collaboration Opportunity for K-12 Principals, Teachers, Counselors and Paraprofessionals!

The Spring into CS 2024 Summit is an event hosted by Region 1 and Region 5 in collaboration with CS4NorCal to promote equitable and scalable Computer Science learning in Northern California.

The Spring into CS Summit will leverage the relationship and professional learning opportunities across counties in the Far North Partnership, sharing the urgency for attention to Computer Science in K-12 education.

We invite you to join us for in-person collaboration, hands-on activities and high-quality professional learning sessions!

Participant Details: The following costs associated with attending the Spring into CS 2024 Summit will be covered for each participant:

  • Hotel accommodations and on-site parking: participants traveling in excess of 350 miles may quality for additional lodging
  • Stipend for the educator’s time and incidentals
  • Mileage travel costs will be reimbursed

Summit Outcomes:

  • Enhance Pedagogical Skills: Gain new strategies for teaching and integrating computer science concepts effectively through hands-on activities across content areas
  • Deepen Content Knowledge: Engage with the latest trends, technologies, and curriculum standards in computer science education
  • Engage in Networking Opportunities: Collaborate with colleagues who share similar interests and challenges in teaching computer science
  • Address Equity and Inclusion: Promote equity and inclusion in computer science education, ensuring all students have access to high-quality instruction and opportunities in this field with a rural lens
  • Promote Lifelong Learning: Cultivate a growth mindset among educators and provide resources for ongoing professional development in computer science education
