Cinderella of Ancient and Modern Civilizations

 

A unit appropriate for 4th – 6th grade teachers.  The first Cinderella story was told in Egypt in 1 B.C.  This unit compares it with one from Ancient China and one from the Algonquins in North America.  If using the Literature set “Searching for Cinderella” available for HERC contracting schools, there are 10 more Cinderella stories from around the world, including Mexico, Philippines, Hmong, Russia, and India.  There are extended art and technology activities included.  Websites are embedded in the prezi.
