Reserved SEATS (Students Engaged in the Arts Through Schools)

Reserved SEATS is a program that supports Humboldt County TK-12th grade students in attending performing arts events and inviting studio artists into classrooms. Funds are limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to increased demand, a teacher may apply for one event per year. Applications are now open. Opportunities:

Schools to Dance, Tuesday, December 3, 2019 @ 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. at the Arkley Center, Eureka. $200 bus transportation reimbursement funds have been allocated. This is a teaching show with elements of the ballet “The Nutcracker”, it is not the entire ballet. Performed by North Coast Dance.  Show is one hour in length. Seats still available.

Schools to Theatre – 4 venues multiple shows; teachers may choose ticket subsidies or bus transportation reimbursement reimbursement funds up to $200.

Schools to Symphony: Thursday, April 23, 2019, 9:30 and 11:30 a.m., 3rd – 6th grades, Arkley Center, Eureka  $200 bus transportation reimbursement available as funds allow. Show is one hour in length. See the Schools to Symphony video here.

Schools to Studio: Ongoing in classrooms. Show the Schools to Studio video featuring 7 local artists to your class. Choose a project. Collaborate with a studio artist in your classroom for 4 hours. See video here.

Youth Arts Festival icon

The Youth Arts Festival will be held at the Morris Graves Museum of Art! Visual Art from Humboldt County students will be displayed February – March 2020. Student performances will be Saturday, March 7, 2020. To request information or sign-up, fill out this google form.
