North Coast Teacher Certification Series

This professional development series will help 9th-12th grade teachers to prepare high school students to meet the expectations of college and university courses and the California English-Language Arts Common Core Standards. These rich, adaptable resources, developed by a collaborative group of California State University, California Community College, and high school faculty, can be offered as a self-contained “A-G” approved course or as supplemental material to enhance student engagement.

Cost of Training and Curriculum: FREE!
Cost for substitutes, mileage, lodging, and CE units to be paid by district or participant.

  • Expository Reading and Writing Course: Semester Two Reading Rhetorically
  • A Text-Based Grammar for Expository Reading and Writing They Say/I Say
