Description

Participants will understand how Webb’s four Depth of Knowledge (DOK) levels grow in cognitive complexity and provide educators with a lens to enable them to integrate the use of technology and to create more cognitively engaging and challenging tasks. They will also examine and consider how Depth of Knowledge offers a common language to understand “rigor,” or cognitive demand, in assessments, as well as curricular units, lessons, and tasks.

This is the fifth webinar in the Secondary Literacy Partnership’s free series, “Transitioning to the Common Core State Standards: Spotlight on Instruction, Assessment, and Equity.” Members of the Secondary Literacy Partnership include California Department of Education, the Association of California School Administrators, the California Teachers Association, and the California Comprehensive Center at WestEd.
