Strengthening Racial Equity: Part 6

Monday, March 22 | 3:30-5:00pm | Trainers: Trainers: Julie Nicholson and LaWanda Wesley

We talk in our culturally responsive self-care trainings about how our histories of systemic racism and oppression are deeply connected to experiences of trauma, inequity and what it means to engage in caring for the self. This training will build on the first two culturally responsive self-care trainings to focus on the intersections between self-care, race, racism and unconscious bias. We will explore the differences between structural racism and bias and introduce strategies to strengthen racial literacy and equity inour daily practice and early childhood programs.
