ADEPT Assessment for EL Students
ADEPT Assessment for EL Students
The ADEPT Developmental English Proficiency Test helps identify EL students’ mastery of specific ELD Standards and skills in receptive and expressive language. Since the CELDT provides a general level only, and lacks diagnostic information, this assessment can be very helpful for identifying knowledge gaps and priority areas for instruction. (The ADEPT was designed for K-8 students, but many have found it useful for targeting ELD instruction for high school students as well.)
Using the ADEPT assessment requires a half-day workshop. Test materials are included in the fee for the training and are not available for purchase separately. Districts and school sites are encouraged to select one or two representatives who will complete training and administer the assessment.
Fee (includes workshop, all test materials, refreshments): $200
Workshop: Wednesday, March 2, 3:30 – 6:30 pm in the Madrone Room at HCOE
