California Arts Education Summit 2024: Small Places and Rural Spaces
Proposition 28, the Arts and Music in Schools Funding Guarantee and Accountability Act, will serve as a departure point for exploration of the promise of expanding access to arts education. Sessions will lead participants to:
• Develop increased understanding of the benefits and components of arts education
• Explore strategies for funding and implementation
• Work with templates, models, strategies to plan for sustainability
Time for reflection and networking will be included. Lunch will be provided on both days.
A networking reception with light refreshments will take place on Day 1. Breakfast will be provided on Day 2.
Who Should Attend: This event is for County Office and District Leaders in small counties and districts who are interested in helping their organization expand what is currently in place for arts education with a focus on sustainability, equity, and access for all students, everywhere in the state.
