ASIST Course Description: The emphasis of ASIST is on suicide first aid, on helping a person at risk stay safe and seek further help. ASIST provides practical training for all caregivers.
Participants will learn how to:
- Recognize invitations to help
- Determine suicide risk
- Apply an effective suicide intervention model
- Provide appropriate support
- Link people with community resources

Continuing Education – No additional fee
This course meets the qualifications for 14.0 hours of continuing education credit for MFT’s and LCSW’s as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, Provider Number PCE 250, Department of Health and Human Services. Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP15353, for 14.0 contact hours.
