Virtual Family Maker Night – Traditional Ecological Knowledge
PATHMAKERS invites you to join us for the new VIRTUAL FAMILY MAKER NIGHT
THURSDAY OCTOBER 21, 2021 5:30 – 7:15 PM
We will continue to host monthly Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) activities through a Traditional Ecological (TEK) lens.
Dr. Seafha Ramos (Yurok/Karuk/Xicana) was born in 1983. She is a Wildlife Ecologist. She studies animals and their habitats with a focus on “TEK”. Dr. Seafha has used genetics to study the diets of bobcats and other animals.
Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) is the environmental relationship and information held by Indigenous peoples.
Registration deadline to receive the supply kits is October 11. The kits will have duct tape, straws and otter feet images on cardboard.
