School Threat Assessment Training Jan

This training will cover the fundamentals of how to use the threat assessment tool, who should be on a threat assessment team, and how to build cross-sector support systems for students. There will be opportunity for group work and implementation of the tool. Not only will we be highlighting San Mateo County and their successes working with cross-sector threat assessment teams, we will also welcome a panel of local experts to address questions specific to rural needs.

Lunch will be provided.

In breakout groups participants will brainstorm how to best manage a safety scenario.

Community Spotlight: San Mateo County
12:30pm-1:30pm| Mason Henricks, Coordinator, School Safety and Risk Prevention

Mason will guide us through how trauma informed, equity minded school threat assessments have been working in San Mateo County and answer questions.
