Neurodevelopmental Trauma: When the Bough Breaks
Neurodevelopmental Trauma: When the Bough Breaks
Online Event: Held every Wednesday (September 13, 20, and 27)
12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
This webinar series is for juvenile court stakeholders which focuses on the impact of pre-and-postnatal trauma exposure impacting the way in which a new brain organizes and develops. Trauma histories are strongly associated with youth with conduct problems whose ‘visible’ behaviors may consequently include impulsivity, chronic truancy, use of violence, risk-taking, substance abuse, emotional blunting, and a pattern of engagement that demonstrates a disregard for the rights of others. The persistence of maladaptive brain functions leaves many families struggling to fit and belong. For more information, click here.
