Mandated Reporter and Sexual Harassment Prevention training for Substitute Teachers

Per the Senate Bills (SB) 820 and 1343, effective January 1, 2019, it is required that: all supervisors of public and private employees; all non supervisory staff; any seasonal and temporary employees; and any K-12 district board members must receive interactive training regarding sexual harassment prevention within the first six months of hire date and no later than January 1, 2020. Once the initial training is complete, it will be required every two years thereafter.
In addition, all school employees, must complete the annual Mandated Reporter: Child Abuse & Neglect training per Assembly Bill 1432, as specified in Education Code section 44691. Please note that this training course is required to be completed within 6 weeks from your hire date or within the first 6 weeks of the new program year.
This training is offered on behalf of our Humboldt county districts by HCOE for current and prospective substitute teachers at no charge.
Room capacity is limited, so please register in advance to hold your seat. Participants will be emailed a certificate of completion to show their employers.
