California State Parks PORTS Distance Learning Program
California State Parks PORTS Distance Learning Program, PORTS
Come explore how to blend real world application of history and science content and videoconferencing technology into classroom curriculum through the California State Parks PORTS Distance Learning Program. The PORTS program brings unique state park resources and access to content specialists directly into the classroom virtually through live, interactive, and engaging video conference programs. There are more than 8 state parks hosting PORTS. Each program has a different theme and are tied to academic standards specific to certain grade levels, yet somewhat flexible, depending on the park.
This presentation will explore methods of enhancing classroom curriculum and program opportunities.
This session will be facilitated by Heather Holm, PORTS Program Coordinator with California State Parks, Sacramento.
