CA-AME-EO Professional Learning Series
CA-AME-EO is the California Arts, Media & Entertainment Educator Organization.
We are starting our monthly professional development series with an event called Pivot, focusing on the successful ‘pivots’ we have all made this year! Each monthly event will be 1 ½- 2 hours in length and have two components, a 45-60 minute Professional Learning component and a 60 minute Community of Practice meeting. This will allow us to provide monthly, on-going professional learning as well as content-specific Community of Practice forums for teacher-to-teacher interaction. The professional learning component will consist of a monthly update from Allison Frenzel at CDE and an industry focused presentation designed to strengthen AME instructional practice. The Community of Practice Forums will be led by an AME teacher-lead and provide an opportunity to reflect on the industry presentation, share ideas and resources that support high quality instructional practice, and identify areas of concern for which you may need peer support (advocacy).
The Pivot event will be held on January 29, 3:30-5:30 and will be the first in a 9 part AME professional learning series during 2021. The $50.00 fee covers all 9 events and CoP forums and is effectively your CA-AME-EO membership fee. The cost can be covered by Perkins, CTEIG or other funding sources that support CTE Professional Learning.
ALL VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS TEACHERS ARE INVITED! You don’t need to be an AME CTE teacher to attend.
