Youth Suicide Prevention in Humboldt County

Live, Virtual TRAINING with local clinicians.
Learning objectives:
- Describe the incidence, trajectory and means of youth suicide in the U.S., California and Humboldt County before and after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Utilize validated screening tools to identify youth at risk for suicide.
- Discuss safety planning and strategies for lethal means reduction.
- Identify strategies to bolster protective factors in families, children and communities.
2.0 CEUs Available
Course meets the qualifications for 2.0 hours of continuing education credit for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and/or LEPs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Humboldt County Health and Human Services (HCHHS) is approved by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists to sponsor continuing education for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and/or LEPs, Provider Number 76178. HCHHS maintains responsibility for this program/course and its content.
Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP 15353, Humboldt County Department of Health and Human Services, for 2.0 contact hours.
Continuing Education Certificates of Completion will be e-mailed to participants within 10 business days of receipt of proof of completion from the instructor/trainer.
