completed the full ERWC Teacher Certification.

Each module provides in-depth study of expository, analytical, and argumentative reading and writing and includes formative assessments, as well as final
reading/writing assignments. These rich, adaptable resources, developed by a collaborative group of CSU and high school faculty,
supports College and Career Readiness Anchor Standards and framework for CA CCSS, and can be
offered as a self-contained “B” course.

This 3-hour workshop is for English teachers who have previously participated in professional learning for the ERWC.

  • A brief overview of the new modules for 9th – 11th grades, four per grade level
  • Inquiry oriented curriculum that helps high school students develop
the high-level literacy skills they need to succeed in college and beyond
  • Techniques to strengthen their student’s critical thinking skills, necessary for lifelong participation in the
    worlds of work and community
  • ERWC has been revised and updated and is now aligned to the Common Core State Standards for English
    Language Arts and Literacy!!!
